ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Medtrade producer Nielsen Expositions announced Friday it will premier the NexGen Medtrade Accessible Home: A Healthy Living Lifestyle Environment at Medtrade 2010.

The NexGen Medtrade Accessible Home, an accessible lifestyle home, will be a 1,650-sq. ft. house featuring two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The house will be built directly on the event's show floor and will feature a large array of home medical equipment products that demonstrate how homeowners can remain independent as they age or face chronic illness or disability. The home is produced by the NextGen Home Experience, a leader in producing nationally recognized demonstration homes, and will be built by All American Homes.

"Americans with chronic illnesses or those with disabilities consistently pursue ways in which they can remain at home," said Nielsen's Kevin Gaffney, CEM, group show director. "Medtrade exhibitors offer the products that will enable them to obtain that goal. Likewise, as the population continues to 'age' with increasing numbers of baby boomers, the idea of accessibility in advance of need is garnering strong interest. This home will showcase all the products necessary for this need."

The NexGen Medtrade Accessible Home will be open to show attendees beginning Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 10 a.m. when the Medtrade Expo opens. It will remain open for tours throughout the event.

"The options and ideas this home will showcase are exciting and the cutting-edge products will show real-life solutions for Americans who are looking to avoid long-term care or alternate living scenarios," said Gaffney.

Medtrade 2010 will take place Nov. 15-18 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. For more information about the event, see www.medtrade.com or call 800/933-8735.
