WATERLOO, Iowa (June 10, 2022)—The Durable Medical Equipment Repair and Training (DMERT) Group has announced Wayne Grau as the new chair of their executive board.  

Greg Packer, president of U.S. Rehab and previous Chair of the DMERT Group, announced his resignation to be effective upon the naming of a successor. 

ALBANY, N.Y. (May 12, 2022)—The New York State Medicaid department released their durable medical equipment (DME) manual update, effective June, 1 2022. Per the 202-page manual, all CPAP and BiPAP supplies that were formerly bundled with a new PAP set-up will be unbundled as of June 1.

Heated humidifiers (E0562) and cool humidifiers (E0561) were also unbundled from a new CPAP or BiPAP set up, and will be paid separately.

(May 19, 2021)—At a recent recruiting event at a local high school, the health care providers present received “zero interest” from students, said Kara Allread, senior vice president and chief administrative officer of Greenville, Ohio-based Brethren Retirement Community and Brethren HomeCare. “They know we can’t compete” with retail and other industries, she said.
