INDIANAPOLIS (March 25, 2021)—Anthem, Inc announced that the company has entered into an agreement to acquire myNEXUS, Inc., a comprehensive home-based nursing management company for payers. myNEXUS delivers integrated clinical support services for approximately 1.7 million Medicare Advantage members across 20 states.


BALTIMORE (March 18, 2021)—One year into the COVID-19 pandemic, Senior Helpers, a provider of in-home senior care, released findings of its “Seniors: One Year in Quarantine” survey, which explores attitudes and behaviors of adults aged 65+ since March 2020, along with their feelings toward the future. Surprisingly, a majority of seniors (72%) reported they feel safer and more comfortable seeing friends and family now, even without having been vaccinated themselves.

Managing appointments and medications can be a daunting chore for caregivers of someone with a chronic illness. Research cited by the American Psychological Association found that among people age 55 to 75, those who are caregivers show a 23% higher level of stress hormones, which can lead to high blood pressure, and a 15% lower level of immune response, making them more vulnerable to the flu and other infections.
