As noted in Philips Respironics communication, the off gassing and degradation of the PE‐PUR foam may be present from the outset of the use of its products and that humidity and high heat environments may also contribute further to its breakdown.

Corrective actions include the deployment of updated instructions for use and a repair and replacement program for affected devices.
