WASHINGTON (March 26, 2015)—The House just passed the permanent SGR fix bill (HR 2) by a vote of 392-37. The binding bid legislation HR 284 is included in this package. The bill now goes to the Senate, which could consider it as early as tomorrow. The awards honor HME products that are particularly suited for retail sale. The purpose of the competition is to promote and recognize products that contribute to providers' bottom lines though cash sales.
ACHC Accreditation Standards for the Home Health, Hospice, and Private Duty programs are in revision and will be ready for release April 1, 2015. Current standards were thoroughly reviewed to assess relevancy and program applicability and minor changes were made to add clarity and to maintain compliance with current regulations.
