(March 11, 2019)—Georgia Baptist Health Care Ministry Foundation (GBHCMF) honored this year’s grant recipients at its 14th Annual Grant Award Luncheon, held on Feb. 7, 2019 at the Georgia Baptist Missions and Ministry Center. WATERLOO, Iowa (March 1, 2019)—Representatives on both sides of the aisle re-introduced the Breast Cancer Patient Equity Act bill that, if passed, will expand Medicare coverage to include custom breast prostheses as an option for women recovering from mastectomy surgery.

The bipartisan bills S. 562 and H.R. 1370 were co-sponsored by Sens. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) and Lisa Murkowsi (R-Alaska), along with Reps. Judy Chu (D-Calif.) and Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.).

Health care spending in the United States is expected to rise to nearly $6 trillion by 2027, but home health spending will rise faster than all other care categories, according to a new projection from the Office of the Actuary of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
