WATERLOO, Iowa—Jim Greatorex of VGM Live at Home, a division of VGM & Associates, has announced his retirement as vice president.
Greatorex joined VGM in 2015 with more than 30 years of experience in the home medical equipment (HME) and home accessibility industry. The company said Greatorex has been an integral part of VGM Live at Home as vice president and has made contributions to the growth and success of the home access industry.
“It’s been an honor to work for VGM the last nine and a half years and participate in the home access industry,” said Greatorex. “Working with our passionate Live at Home members and vendor partners has been a blast, and lifelong friendships have been made. I will work with Cindi Petito and the Live at Home team as long as it takes to make sure a smooth, successful transition happens. The home access industry has a very bright future with a decade or more of steady growth, and Cindi and the VGM Live at Home team is ready to continue to help the industry evolve, grow and professionalize to meet its great potential. I look forward to watching it all happen. My wife Lisa and I have enjoyed the last eight years living in Iowa and all the relationships made in and out of workspace, but it’s time to get back east and be near our family.”
The company said part of ensuring a smooth transition includes shifting the role of Cindi Petito, the company’s current director of clinical networks, to director of VGM Live at Home. Petito has more than 29 years of experience in multiple health care settings, including complex rehabilitation technology and home accessibility. Additionally, Petito has more than 20 years of working with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance companies and workers compensation programs.
“Jim’s many years of dedicated service to the HME, complex rehab technology and home access communities have been truly remarkable,” Petito said. “From his successful years running his own business in Maine, to the impactful years at VGM growing our home access division, we deeply appreciate the dedication and passion he has brought to the industry and look forward to continuing to work with him into 2025. Our goal is to ensure a smooth transition so Jim can enjoy more time with his family.”
Company members who aim to support Petito during this role shift include Drew Aalderks, member account manager; Jeff Kessler, partner account manager; and Tyler Mahncke, senior VP of clinical mobility and accessibility.
Greatorex aims to maintain his relationship with VGM Live at Home throughout the year in order to provide a seamless transition for Petito and the rest of team. Additionally, Greatorex said he will be involved in the planning for the 2025 VGM Live at Home Building Opportunities Summit.
“I am truly honored to step into the role of director of Live at Home to assist with the continued success of VGM Live at Home, following Jim’s outstanding leadership and years of dedication to our industry,” Petito said. “This position presents a unique opportunity to lead and enhance our service offerings in home accessibility. As we move forward in this new year, we have several exciting programs planned to elevate Live at Home to the next level. I look forward to collaborating closely with our fantastic teams to generate fresh ideas and develop innovative strategies that will support our members, vendor partners and the people we serve.”
