FORT WORTH, Texas (November 4, 2016)—Numotion, a provider of complex rehab technology (CRT), has acquired Home Medical Equipment (HME) of Texas to extend its reach and capacity in the state. In business locally for more than 20 years, HME of Texas is a privately owned medical equipment company based in Fort Worth, Texas, that serves the entire state.

“HME of Texas has a great reputation throughout the state for providing customers with premier products and services,” said Mike Swinford, CEO of Numotion. “Their knowledge of the Texas market, specifically the eastern and western parts of the state, will improve our coverage and enable us to positively impact many more lives by serving the mobility needs of more customers.”

Beyond market knowledge, HME of Texas brings extensive experience with the Texas Department of Aging and Disability’s (DADS) Applied Income Program. Best practices will be applied at Numotion to streamline and improve how the company interacts with DADS to ensure choice and mobility needs for customers are optimized.

Current HME of Texas customers should not experience any changes in their service. Moving forward they will have access to Numotion’s comprehensive line-up of mobility, independence and life-enhancing solutions so they can live their lives to the fullest.

“Our team of 13 is looking forward to being a part of the Numotion team because it offers additional resources to help better serve our customers,” said Issam Bou-Hamdan, owner, HME of Texas. “From products to a better service and repair network, our customers will have access to an improved purchasing experience.”

HME of Texas employees will continue to operate from their current headquarters in Fort Worth. Next year the location, along with Numotion’s current Fort Worth branch, will move into a new facility to align resources and better serve customers in the area.
