PASADENA, Maryland—FutureCare, a health care technology company, announced the FutureCare Crestron Home Driver is now available for integration into Crestron Home systems. The company said the device aims to empower seniors to live and age in place safely and comfortably, while providing caregivers and families with real-time insights.
“Global Wave Integration and FutureCare Solutions have achieved a custom-designed driver that addresses the critical need for more accessible smart home data, and bridges the gap between wellness monitoring and the smart home environment," said Michael Short, vice president of marketing operations and residential at Crestron.
Key features include:
- Real-Time Status Updates: A high-level summary of the resident’s current status, such as activity levels and location within the home.
- Daily Activity Logs: A detailed record of recent activities, including sleep patterns, movement and social interactions.
- Wellness Scores: Easy-to-understand scores that aggregate data from multiple wellness categories, including sleep, mobility, social engagement and stability.
Leveraging passive sensors and Internet of Things (IoT) devices, the FutureCare Crestron Home Driver monitors aspects of a senior’s daily life without being intrusive. This data is then transformed into actionable insights, enabling caregivers to identify potential issues early and provide timely interventions.
The company said this aims to give caregivers and families unprecedented peace of mind with real-time alerts, notifications and integration with Crestron Home, enabling automation of lighting, temperature and other environmental factors.
The FutureCare Crestron Home Driver is now available for integration into Crestron Home systems. Integrators can access the driver through the Crestron Drivers Portal and incorporate it into their Crestron Home OS deployments.
