WASHINGTON — Can 140 characters or less affect competitive bidding?
Twitter and other social networking sites offer the HME community an opportunity to reach thousands of caregivers, physicians and other home care stakeholders with the "Stop HME Bidding" message on Twitter and Facebook, according to AAHomecare. Followers can post comments, re-tweet and share the information with patients and colleagues.
The goal is to engage 1,000 people through the new social networking campaign to build awareness and encourage them to talk to their members of Congress about the negative effects competitive bidding will have. "Encourage your friends, patients and employees to follow these social networking campaigns," AAHomecare urges. "This is our chance to use the power of social networks to stop the bidding program."
