WATERLOO, Iowa — CMS continues to report that competitive bidding is going fine since the implementation of Round 1 in January. But HME advocates say this interview with provider Jim Kokenge, filmed by People for Quality Care during VGM's Heartland Conference, presents a markedly different picture of the competitive bidding program.
"It's not very long," said VGM VP Carolyn Cole of Kokenge's story, "but it's a perfect example of what competitive bidding is doing to patients."
