CHICAGO (October 13, 2021)—Help at Home, a provider of in-home, person-centered care for seniors, announced the closing of two acquisitions in late September 2021: Pennsylvania-based Meridius Health and Georgia-based Altamaha HomeCare's nonskilled business. EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (September 17, 2021)—24 Hour Home Care, a nonmedical in-home care provider, announced it has acquired GrandCare Health Services’ nonmedical caregiving division, effective Sept. 1, 2021. The official announcement was made from 24 Hour Home Care’s headquarters in Los Angeles and will allow the company to further expand its homecare services across Southern California.

ATLANTA and BURLINGAME, Calif., (August 12, 2021)—Sharecare, the digital health company that helps people manage all their health in one place, today announced that it has closed its acquisition of CareLinx, a digital on-demand platform of tech-enabled care providers. Sharecare has acquired CareLinx from Europ Assistance, one of the largest global assistance companies.

Earlier in 2021, SYNERGY HomeCare announced it had sold 13 territories during its first quarter, up 116% over the prior year; it sold 35% more territories in 2020 overall compared to 2019 and now counts more than 180 franchisees around the United States. The Arizona-based agency, which provides personal care, launched its franchise system in 2005.

LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. (June 16, 2021)—Family Resource Home Care announced acquisition of both Adeo In Home Care, a Tigard, Oregon-based homecare agency and Helping Hands Home Care, a Portland, Oregon-based homecare agency—two of the largest, independently owned agencies in the state.

RICHMOND, Va. (June 9, 2021)—VCU Health System and BAYADA Home Health Care, a large not-for-profit home health care provider in the United States, announced a new collaboration by forming a company for in-home health and hospice care in the Richmond, Virgina, metropolitan area. The new company, VCU Health at Home by BAYADA, is expected to start accepting patients within the next six to nine months.
