(November 23, 2018)—Reliable Medical Supply (RMS), a health care durable medical equipment (DME) company providing complex rehab therapy (CRT), clinical respiratory services and an array of additional therapies treating a variety of disease states, announced the recapitalization of their equity by Seven Hills Capital of Chicago. No financial terms were disclosed. The transaction was facilitated by VERTESS, a health care M+A advisory firm.

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (November 21, 2018)—Numotion, a provider of complex rehab technology (CRT), has expanded its footprint in Tennessee with the acquisition of Carr Rehab, Inc. Carr Rehab has been serving customers in East Tennessee for more than 27 years, with locations in Knoxville and Johnson City.

DURYEA, Penn. (November 19, 2018)—Quantum Rehab has launched Interactive Assist, a new app that provides a direct real-time connection from a powerchair’s electronics to a provider’s programming station.

The connection provides the technician with full system and diagnostic information along with tools, such as a real-time mirror image of the powerchair’s electronics display, to eliminate wasteful service trips.

ANNAPOLIS JUNCTION, Md. (November 19, 2018)—Colfax Corporation, a diversified technology company, announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire DJO Global Inc. (DJO) from private equity funds managed by Blackstone for $3.15 billion in cash. DJO is a provider of orthopedic solutions, software and services spanning the full continuum of patient care, from injury prevention to rehabilitation.

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (November 13, 2018)—Numotion announced its acquisition by an affiliate of AEA Investors LP. AEA acquired controlling interest in Numotion from LLR Partners and Audax Group. LLR Partners has reinvested in Numotion as a minority shareholder. The private equity firms are partnering with Numotion’s existing management team to help fund the company’s continuing growth initiatives. Harris Williams & Co. served as financial advisor to Numotion.

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (November 13, 2018)—Breathe, an independent diagnostic testing facility (IDTF) that provides third-party testing for DME providers, announced the addition of capnography testing to its software platform.

The term capnography refers to the noninvasive measurement of the partial pressure of carbon dioxide (CO2) in exhaled breath expressed as the CO2 concentration over time. Capnography can detect respiratory depression and apnea.

SAN FRANCISCO (November 14, 2018)—Honor, a provider of homecare services company and founder of the Honor Care Network, announced the opening of the company’s second operations center to be located in Austin, Texas. The new 30,000 square foot operations center in North Austin will complement Honor’s current operations center in Concord, California, where the company manages its care operations.

LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. (November 8, 2018)—Two of Washington state’s largest homecare agencies, Seattle-based Family Resource Home Care and Spokane-based Family Home Care, announced completion of a merger that will make the combined entity one of the largest homecare providers in the nation. The new combined entity will retain the Family Resource Home Care name.

SAN DIEGO (November 5, 2018)—ResMed announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire privately-held MatrixCare, a provider of long-term post-acute care software, serving more than 15,000 providers across skilled nursing, life plan communities, senior living and private duty.
