WATERLOO, Iowa, Nov. 9, 2012—HME industry veteran Ronda Buhrmester has joined U.S. Rehab/VGM Group, Inc., as a reimbursement specialist. She is a certified respiratory therapist and a certified mastectomy fitter and comes to VGM from VGM member Iroquois Home Care, Inc., an independent hospital-affiliated DME, and Iroquois Memorial Hospital, Watseka, Ill. She has more than 10 years’ experience in a variety of positions, including supervising billing, customer service, clinical and warehouse departments, and being responsible for accreditation, compliance, Medicare and other insurance coverages. She will be working closely with Peggy Walker, RN, reimbursement adviser for VGM, who visited with Buhrmester about the position at Heartland Conference 2012. “I will be working for the members providing reimbursement information, doing presentations and being a liaison with CMS,” Buhrmester said.
“Ronda’s addition to VGM enhances our reimbursement expertise. We know that audits have become a huge priority with our members, and they need timely information. Members are dealing with all things from all angles, and Ronda will help them and provide support for Peggy.
