He will oversee all company operations and lead it into the future of wheeled mobility and home medical equipment. He is a proud graduate of Kent State University and enjoys serving his community. He is a graduate of Leadership Akron, Class 27, and presently serves on the Boards of Directors of ACCESS Inc. and Keep Akron Beautiful. On a statewide level, Miller is especially active in OAMES (Ohio Association of Medical Equipment Services) and currently serves as its president. He regularly visits Columbus and Washington, D.C., working with policy makers and elected officials on issues and regulations related to Medicaid and Medicare coverage of home medical equipment.

Citing his family heritage he said “I’m extremely proud of the organization built up over the past 64 years and I’m excited about our opportunities to grow in the years to come. I’m honored to take over this leadership role and follow the outstanding example shown me by my father. Miller’s has an outstanding group of committed staff members united in our goal of advancing care, enhancing mobility for the clients we serve.”

John J. Miller will continue with the company in the role of CEO. Miller’s is a family owned and operated home medical equipment provider proudly serving Northeast Ohio since 1949. Miller’s is headquartered in Akron with additional locations in Canton, Cleveland and Youngstown. Operating under core family values—respect, integrity, service and excellence—Miller’s staff works with clients from evaluation to documentation to clinical assessments to authorization. With a well‐known reputation as mobility experts, Miller’s employs more Assistive Technology Professionals (ATP) than any other provider in Ohio. Miller’s sleep therapy program is unmatched and includes comprehensive patient compliance, convenient scheduling, and ongoing education. The goal to give clients the freedom and independence in their home is met by Miller’s Home Access department.
