MCKINNEY, Texas—New Day Healthcare, a provider of home-based services, announced today that it entered into a purchase agreement to acquire Heritage Home Healthcare, marking New Day’s expansion into New Mexico.
Heritage Home Healthcare is a provider of homecare, hospice and skilled care services throughout New Mexico, employing a team of over 900 caregivers serving 1,100 patients daily. This latest transaction will be New Day’s 15th acquisition to date. The addition of Heritage will expand New Day into its fifth state. The operation will continue to operate under its current brand.
“We are pleased to partner with the Heritage Home Healthcare team," said Scott Herman, founder and CEO of New Day. "We have been familiar with the company since 2016, and their reputation of high-quality care delivery and the constant pursuit of excellence, coupled with their ‘patient first’ culture, aligns perfectly with New Day Healthcare. Being able to acquire a company as solid as Heritage, with a 32-year history of caring for the citizens of New Mexico, is an honor.”
“We are excited to welcome Heritage Home Healthcare to the New Day platform,” said New Day Chief Development and Strategy Officer Matthew Griffith. “Heritage has been one of the most recognized homecare providers in the state of New Mexico since 1993. The staff prioritizes patient care, a strong local community presence and company culture. Both Heritage and New Day share the same core values, making this partnership a natural fit.”
“Heritage has a deep-routed home care presence throughout New Mexico," said Griffith. "New Day will implement our continuum-based model, along with our proprietary CareLytics software, to drive organic growth and improved patient care workflows. New Day’s platform has been built to scale and allows for successful expansion into additional geographies.”
The purchase of Heritage Home Healthcare is anticipated to close in July and is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
