AKRON, Ohio, Dec. 14, 2012—Those suffering from aching neck pain that won’t go away and chronic or intermittent pain around the neck and shoulders could benefit from the Theratrac. Designed to allow the natural curve of the neck to correct through the forces of traction, the Theratrac gently stretches and allows the vertebral discs to realign, freeing the nerve root tissue from straining disc pressure. The device helps “locked” neck muscles to slowly stretch and relax, allowing misaligned vertebrae to resume their normal supportive position. It is easy to use and comfortable. There are no weights or pulleys, and the Theratrac provides a nice gentle stretch traction as well as an incline lift of 0 to 15 degrees. It is effective and clinical grade, featuring an innovative design.
The Theratrac Cervical traction system provides an even decompression of the anterior and posterior cervical discs, while supporting the spinal curve. Inflate with over 30 lbs. of adjustable pneumatic pressure to create traction in the cervical curve. This allows the cervical vertebrae to space evenly. The lateral incline for the head is pneumatically adjustable from 0 to 15 degrees. The traction applied is controlled by the user through two hand pump controls. One controls the cervical “stretch” and one controls the lateral “incline” of the device. Three insert sizes are available and made of low density soft foam, and will reduce or eliminate strain on the jaws temporomandibular joint (TMJ).
