LAS VEGAS, Jan. 8, 2013—Prospective Medtrade Spring attendees eager to get education resolutions going can start as early as January 23, when Lisa Wells kicks off “The Fundamentals of Online Marketing.”
“We are looking to get the education going even sooner this year through January webinars that offer real expertise from recognized experts,” said Kevin Gaffney, group show director, Medtrade. “March 19-21 will be an ideal time for the industry to come together to reassess and reenergize. If you like our lineup of pre-show workshops and sessions, it makes sense to get in a day or two early. If you want to get your education going prior to Medtrade Spring, our webinars may be just what you are looking for.”
“The Fundamentals of Online Marketing” webinar sessions will take place:
• Wednesday, Jan 23
• Wednesday, Feb 13
• Thursday, Feb 21
• Tuesday, March 19, where Medtrade Spring attendees can watch the final session live at the Mandalay Bay Events center in Las Vegas. Those not in attendance can participate via the Internet.
The Medtrade affiliated four-hour virtual boot camp takes participants through the principles of e-marketing, providing stories, videos and real-world examples to help apply concepts to daily business. If a session is missed, or registration is late, catching up is easy. The four-part series will include:
• E-marketing terminology and definitions
• A progressive pace for beginner to mid-level participants
• Videos to watch for additional learning opportunities outside of class instruction times
• A list of additional resources that will be delivered onsite during Medtrade Spring, and
• A free copy of Lisa Wells’ e-book Get Social: How To Leverage Social Media for Healthcare Marketing.
Author/presenter Lisa Wells is a veteran of online marketing and e-commerce, with nearly 20 years of experience in public relations, marketing communications and Web-based product management at medical device, medical supply and health technology companies. As a consultant she has advised on the development of numerous online marketing programs and strategic marketing plans for HME providers and medical device companies worldwide.
“I give back to the industry by teaching at Medtrade every year because I grew up in a family of small business owners,” Wells said. “I understand what it’s like to work with a shoestring budget and why a business owner goes the extra mile to help the people they serve. That’s why I’m such an advocate of social media. It’s inexpensive, and connects people in the instant of an on-switch.”
Also starting on January 30 is the “HME Orientation 101: A Review of the Business and Regulatory Information for New and Recently Employed HME Staff” webinar Series with Mary Ellen Conway, Louis Feuer, Denise Fletcher and Wayne Van Halem. Sessions will be held:
