“It makes sense to save money through early registration,” according to Kevin Gaffney, group show director. “After listening to attendee feedback, we decided to hold the 2013 Medtrade Spring a bit earlier in the year to avoid conflicts with holidays. That means Medtrade Spring is only five months away, and it will be the ideal opportunity to assess the industry and the state of your business.”
After three years at the Sands Expo and Convention Center, Medtrade Spring will move next year to the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. With 1.7 million square feet of meeting space, Mandalay is the fifth largest convention facility in the United States. Located on the Las Vegas Strip, the new venue will allow virtually all attendees to stay at the hotel, with no need to commute to the convention site. “Mandalay houses everything under one roof,” Gaffney said. “It gives us a larger presence, and provides room to grow.”
Medtrade Spring will reside at Mandalay Bay for 2013, 2014 and 2015. “After each year we seriously evaluate all comments in an effort to make the show as helpful as possible,” says Gaffney. “These are challenging times for HME providers. It’s our mission to bring the best education and products in an effort to help everyone survive and thrive in the years ahead. We will once again have a robust Pre-Show Education program, with rates and additional details to be finalized soon.”
As the largest meeting facility on the Las Vegas Strip, the Mandalay Bay Convention Center offers:
• Nearly 1 million square feet of flexible exhibit space on two levels
• Three levels of multi-purpose meeting and function space
• Four pillarless, high-ceiling ballrooms ranging from 31,000 to 100,000 square feet
• A 100,000 square-foot “mega-ballroom” which is the largest pillarless hotel ballroom in the nation and

Medtrade Spring 2013 will take place March 19021, which is a month earlier than the usual April time slot. The Expo will be open on Wednesday, March 20, and Thursday, March 21. Medtrade 2013 will be in Orlando, Fla., at the West Building of the Sunshine state’s Orange County Convention Center. The Expo Floor will be open on October 8-10, 2013 in Halls WA3-WB4.
