WASHINGTON, D.C., Oct. 10, 2012—In e-mails to members of the House of Representatives, AAHomecare is describing the benefits of H.R 6490 and urging them to cosponsor the bill, which would replace the current bidding program with the far-better and more sustainable Market Pricing Program (MPP). The letter thanks Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.) and the other members of the House who sponsored this bipartisan bill. It concludes, “For members of Congress who have not cosponsored H.R. 6490 yet, AAHomecare respectfully requests that they cosponsor the bill during the Pro Forma session of the House.”

All HME providers and other stakeholders should take steps to educate lawmakers about the perils of the bidding program and explain why MPP is the right solution. AAHomecare makes that easy. Go to the association’s TAKE ACTION web page to get started. Anyone with questions should contact AAHomecare’s Walter Gorski at waltg@aahomecare.org or Jay Witter at jayw@aahomecare.org.
