More than 1,000 home medical equipment providers, manufacturers and other HME industry leaders are expected to attend this week’s VGM Heartland Conference, beginning today and running through Thursday in Waterloo, Iowa.
The 11th annual educational event starts this afternoon with a golf tournament at Irv Warren Golf Course, a walking tour of historic buildings in downtown Waterloo and a hog roast at VGM’s southwestern Waterloo campus. The day will end with a fireworks display.
Bryan Dodge, a professional speaker, radio personality and author, will give the keynote address "Get Ready to Leap Forward So You Can Have Your Best Year Ever” on Tuesday from 8 to 9 a.m. at Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center. Josie Badger, Ms. Wheelchair America, will also be in attendance at the conference.
The exhibition hall will open Tuesday evening with 75 exhibitors and 350 vendor representatives. Classes continue Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday evening, Young Arena will be the setting for the Heartland Gala, which has a ‘70s theme. The conference concludes Thursday evening with a networking event.
