The service will link seniors to doctors without having to leave home.

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Penn. (March 6, 2017)—Griswold Home Care, a national provider of services to help seniors age in place, announces the launch of GriswoldConnect Powered by Teladoc, a resource that can deliver consumers of all ages access to a live doctor without appointment or the need to physically travel to one. This marks the first pairing of Teladoc with a homecare agency.

Through GriswoldConnect, ailing individuals can speak with a physician and receive a diagnosis via phone or web, 24/7, from anywhere. Teladoc doctors can diagnose and recommend treatment for many medical conditions, including cold and flu symptoms, allergies, bronchitis, skin problems, respiratory infection and sinus problems. They can also provide short-term prescription refills.

“We’re excited to introduce this very economical way to get prompt care to the seniors we are serving,” said Griswold Home Care CEO Matt Murphy. “This partnership aligns with Griswold’s mission to deliver top-quality homecare, and with our vision to leverage technology to provide the best possible care-receiving experience. This relationship provides peace of mind to care recipients, convenience to the care recipient’s families, and reduced risk of readmission to referral sources.”

GriswoldConnect is a client engagement channel created to help clients and their family members access products and services that will enhance the in-home care experience for which Griswold is known.
