Arya's new ERA aims to provide quick aid to urgent issues when traditional workflows are overwhelmed

NEW YORK—With disruptive winter storms predicted for much of the country, software company Arya Health announced it is launching an emergency response agent (ERA) designed to help quickly triage urgent homecare issues when traditional workflows are overwhelmed.
The ERA serves as a centralized first point of contact, capturing critical information and helping teams respond more efficiently.
How the ERA works:
- Patients and caregivers can reach the agent via call or text
- Each provider location is assigned a dedicated phone number using the local area code
- The AI agent gathers key details about the issue
- Issues are escalated to an on-call staff member based on urgency or flagged for callback
- Office staff receive an AI-generated summary of each interaction to guide next steps
Within the dashboard, office staff can see who reached out, review an AI-generated summary of the issue and take appropriate next steps. The system is designed to be HIPAA-compliant and does not access detailed medical histories. The ERA is available now nationwide and is being offered at no cost to all home health care providers.
