Robert Scharff appointed as new executive vice president of revenue cycles & intends to support company’s mission

DALLAS—Care Options for Kids (COFK), a pediatric specialists provider, named Robert Scharff as executive vice president (VP) of revenue cycle. An experienced health care operations and revenue cycle management leader, Scharff aims to support the company’s mission and provide care to children and their families.

Scharff joins the COFK team with 18 years of experience in health care operations, revenue cycle management and payer contracting. He previously served as the division director of revenue cycle services at Bayada Home Health Care, where managed the centralized revenue cycle operations and offered patient access and reimbursement-related services. Additionally, he supported the national operations of eight specialty practices, including home health, hospice, private duty nursing and personal care services. Scharff served on several internal and external committees supporting initiatives relating to health care regulation, compliance, technology and revenue cycle education.

Before working with Bayada, Scharff served as VP and director of reimbursement services at Fox Rehabilitation Services, a geriatric house-call therapy practice. There, he led multiple divisions focusing on business operations, contracting and revenue cycle management which aimed to support the daily financial operations and the growth of the organization.

Scharff earned his bachelor’s degree from East Carolina University and has been an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
