OWINGS MILLS, Md., Oct. 5, 2012—The Board of Certification/Accreditation, International (BOC) has expanded year-round testing and instant test results and now offers these for all BOC multiple choice and clinical simulation certification examinations. All BOC certification candidates now can take their computer-based exams on any business day throughout the year—and some Saturdays—at locations nationwide. Once candidates complete their exams, they receive their results at the testing center. BOC offers NCCA-accredited certification programs in five disciplines: orthotics, prosthetics, pedorthics, orthotic fitting and mastectomy fitting.
“There are no exam cycles or application deadlines to worry about,” said Jan paul Miller, MA, MEd, BOC’s director of certification. “And when they apply, certification applicants don’t have to commit to a time period to take their test.” Claudia Zacharias, MBA, CAE, BOC president and CEO added, “We want the process to be easy so candidates can focus on the exam itself.
