WASHINGTON—The American Telemedicine Association (ATA) is proud to announce that its CEO, Ann Mond Johnson, was recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare of 2025. Johnson made the list three times: 2020, 2024 and 2025.
The ATA said it also applauds the executives recognized for their impact from 30 of our member organizations: Advocate Health, Amazon, American Hospital Association, American Medical Association, Ascension, Banner Health, Baylor Scott & White Health, Cigna Group, Cleveland Clinic, CommonSpirit Health, Corewell Health, CVS Health, Federation of American Hospitals, Geisinger, HCA Healthcare, Hims & Hers, Humana, Intermountain Health, Mass General Brigham, Mayo Clinic, Novant Health, Ochsner Health, Oscar Health, Philips, Providence, Sanford Health, Sutter Health, Texas Health Resources, Trinity Health and URAC.
“The ATA proudly serves as the nexus and trusted voice of the telehealth and virtual care industry, representing leading health care systems, prominent solution providers, clinicians across the health continuum, pharmaceutical/life sciences companies and digital health technology innovators. We are honored to have so many of our ATA members recognized for their extraordinary vision and ongoing efforts to transform our health care system,” said Johnson. “It is a great privilege to have our collective work recognized by Modern Healthcare, and a personal honor to be acknowledged alongside these thought leaders and trailblazers. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have guided the work of the ATA through an unprecedented period, and proud of our incredible accomplishments to help organizations improve access to needed care.”
“It is most fitting for Ann to be recognized for her leadership, vision, and passion for advancing telehealth and digital health solutions as she prepares for retirement. Her leadership has transformed the ATA and established telehealth as an indispensable part of our health care system,” added Kyle Zebley, senior vice president, public policy, and executive director of ATA Action. He will succeed Johnson as CEO, effective December 10, 2025.
This prestigious recognition program acknowledges and honors individuals who are deemed by the Modern Healthcare newsroom to be the most influential figures in the industry in terms of leadership and impact.
“Influence can be exerted in many ways but regardless of whether it is used to internally shape organizations, the health care industry as a whole or both, playing a positive role benefits patients and the professionals responsible for their health,” said Mary Ellen Podmolik, editor-in-chief of Modern Healthcare. “Our ranked list of the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare highlights the executives in all corners of the industry who are striving to advance medicine and how care is delivered — and succeeding in doing so.”
The complete ranking can be found in the December issue of MH magazine, and profiles of all the honorees are available online at ModernHealthcare.com/100MostInfluential.
