Apria Healthcare Group recently announced that net revenues for the fourth quarter 2011 totaled $603.4 million, up from $527.7 million reported in the same quarter a year ago. That is a 14.3 percent increase.

The company reported that revenue increase was largely the product of its home infusion therapy segment and the previously announced acquisition of Praxair assets. Also, the company recently announced it will operate its two business units—Apria Healthcare Inc. and Coram Inc.—more autonomously and has appointed separate chief executive officers for each.

Apria Healthcare is the respiratory therapy/home medical equipment operating unit, and Coram is the infusion operating unit.
