Granite VNA welcomed five employees to its 2025 Leadership Development Program, making it the largest cohort since the program was established in 2018.
The Leadership Development Program is a three-year program created to foster a high standard of leadership and stewardship within the agency. Designed to develop key leadership competencies, participants learn how to build strong inter-professional teams; coach and develop individuals; build relationships of mutual respect and trust; lead people through transition and change; understand emotional intelligence; see, understand and manage complex systems and lead performance and accountability.
“Granite VNA is committed to investing in our people, who are the backbone of our organization,” said Granite VNA President and CEO Beth Slepian. “In addition to providing team members with opportunities for personal and professional growth, the leadership program is instrumental in ensuring continuity and sustainability for our agency long into the future.”
To earn placement in the program, Granite VNA employees are nominated by a member of the agency’s leadership team. Once nominated, each candidate submits an essay detailing the personal and professional goals they hope to achieve in the program. They then participate in an interview with agency leadership. Those who are invited to participate in the program work under the guidance of a mentor from the agency’s leadership team throughout the three-year program.
According to Granite VNA, the Leadership Develop Program honors two former leaders who gave a combined 41 years of exemplary service to the agency—Former President and CEO Mary Deveau and former Chief Financial Officer Violet Rounds.
“Mentoring those who aspire to grow and become leaders within our agency is incredibly rewarding, and I look forward to following this new cohort’s journey through the program,” said Slepian.
The 2025 Granite VNA Leadership Development Program cohort includes:
- Homecare Manager Letitia Borelli, PT, DPT
- Intake Assistant Team Leader Aletea Bresaw
- Scheduling Team Leader Lisa Dumond
- Health Information Coordinator of Medical Records Sarah Parris
- Nurse Educator Angela Rollins, RN
This cohort will complete the program in December 2027.
“A leader is someone who takes time to recognize an individual’s unique strengths and weaknesses and assists in their growth and development,” said Leadership Development Program participant Lisa Dumond. “I hope to achieve a better understanding of how a leader leads, how to best promote individual growth and learning and how to build a thriving team.”
