ATLANTA (March 9, 2020)—When Medtrade Spring (now Medtrade West) started on March 2, 2020, we greeted friends and colleagues with handshakes and hugs. By March 3, I noticed a few people who were still shaking my hand, but they immediately disinfected with a lotion or some kind of wipe. I was taken aback, but as the day progressed I took no offense.

ATLANTA (November 17, 2020)—Medtrade Account Executive York Schwab will take on the role of show director for the nation’s largest home medical equipment-focused trade show, replacing Mark Lind. “Mark was a huge part of our team who taught me a lot,” Schwab says, “and he will certainly be missed.”

Las Vegas, Nev. (March 4, 2020)--The home medical equipment (HME) industry is well-positioned for success, and its leading advocacy group has made significant shifts in focus and goals to set up for it, AAHomecare President and CEO Tom Ryan said Wednesday.

Now it’s time for HME providers to step up and support the group’s broader mission, Ryan said at the association’s update session at Medtrade Spring in Las Vegas, Nev.

PHOENIX, Arizona (February 24, 2020) -- In an effort to reduce costs and boost attendance, Medtrade Spring will move from Las Vegas to Phoenix, Arizona, next year, show officials announced Monday.

The show, which will also be renamed "Medtrade West," will run April 12-14, 2021, and will also undergo a shift in format, with much less time overlap for the educational sessions and the expo.

ATLANTA (December 11, 2019)—Behind the scenes of the recently completed Medtrade lurked a familiar face in a new role. With a crisp bow tie and calm demeanor, Mark Lind morphed from associate show director to show director for 2019’s premiere HME-focused trade show.

Medtrade attendees are used to seeing Kevin Gaffney in the show director role, and Gaffney’s presence will continue to be felt in his capacity as vice president and group show director.

ATLANTA (January 10, 2019)—Kevin M. Gaffney, CEM, will expand his group show director role to include vice president duties for Medtrade, Medtrade Spring and four additional shows: Environments for Aging (EFA); Construction SuperConference; Healthcare Design; and Hospitality Design. His recent promotion reflects a core belief that trade shows are particularly relevant, even in a digital age.

Show floor closing ceremony comes with chance to win $5,000.

ATLANTA (May 18, 2017)—After reviewing many comments from exhibitors and attendees, Medtrade officials are expanding Expo hours on day two (Tuesday) and day three (Wednesday). The show will officially end on Wednesday evening with a reception on the show floor designed to increase exhibitor/attendee engagement. As an added incentive, reception attendees will have the chance to win a $5,000 cash prize.

Don't miss the April 27 deadline!

ATLANTA (April 6, 2017)—Another eventful year in the HME industry comes to a head on October 23, 2017, when Medtrade kicks off in Atlanta at the Georgia World Congress Center. The nation’s premiere HME-focused event is scheduled for October 23-26, a four-day event that is designed to inspire and unify  during what many hope will be the start of a rebound for the industry.
