The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) welcomed the new year by awarding funds aimed at making homes safer

WASHINGTON—The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded more than $226 million to state, county, city and tribal governments, as well as to non-profit organizations, in an effort to protect children and families from home health hazards. This funding was awarded to entities across 33 states, four tribes, the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

CHICAGO, Illinois—The Alzheimer’s Association Center for Dementia Respite Innovation (CDRI) announced that it is awarding more than $4 million in grants to 21 community-based service providers to increase the availability of quality dementia-specific respite care. The CDRI is administered through a partnership of the Alzheimer’s Association, University of Minnesota School of Public Health and USAging.

Live Well at Home grants will go to 45 organizations to support aging Minnesotans. Projects funded in the Minnesota Department of Human Services’ latest round of grants include:


BOSTON (June 9, 2022)—CareAcademy, a care enablement platform for homecare and home health organizations, announced a $20 million strategic investment round. The round was led by Goldman Sachs Asset Management, with participation from MassMutual through the MM Catalyst Fund, Impact America Fund, Rethink Education, Unseen Capital, First Trust Capital Partners, LLC and prior investors.
