HALIFAX, Va., Feb. 21, 2013—According to the National Association of Independent Medical Equipment Suppliers (NAIMES), federal and state agents armed with search warrants last Wednesday swarmed the New Braunfels, Texas, headquarters of The Scooter Store, one of the nation’s largest suppliers of power wheelchairs and scooters. Statement says investigators think the company committed Medicare fraud.

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas, July 3, 2012—The Scooter Store, a leading provider of power mobility equipment and services, announced that Martin “Marty” J. Landon has been named the company’s chief executive officer. He replaces board member J. Randall Bishop, who had served as interim CEO since March 2012 and will remain on the board.
A team sponsored by the SCOOTER Store of New Braunfels, Texas, raised $12,000 for National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Team Freedom participated in a 180-mile bicycle race, the BP MS 150, from Houston to Austin, Texas, April 21 and 22. This was the ninth consecutive year that SCOOTER Store employees, family members and friends have participated in the event.
The SCOOTER Store announced last week that Rachael Smith, fleet manager of corporate operations department has been selected by Automotive Fleet Magazine as one of 16 nominees being considered for the AF Professional Fleet Manager of the Year Award. Smith manages more than 500 vehicles that traveled more than 22 million miles last year.
