AAHomecare has scheduled a free, national call to review a 15-point reform proposal for Medicare’s oxygen benefit.

On Thursday at 2 pm ET, the American Association for Homecare has scheduled a free, national call to review a 15-point reform proposal for Medicare’s oxygen benefit. According to a notice from the association, “Home oxygen therapy remains under the threat of additional, unwarranted cuts by Congress. The reform proposal is part of an effort to gain recognition of the important services that are integral to providing oxygen therapy to Medicare beneficiaries. The reform proposal would eliminate oxygen from competitive bidding and would remove the 36-month cap on oxygen.”

Thursday’s call will include a short description of the reform proposal followed by a question-and-answer session. To submit a question in advance, send it to Stacey Harms at staceyh@aahomecare.org. To register for the call, visit: http://www.aahomecare.org/displayemailforms.cfm?emailformnbr=111593.
