The company said the WeOxy Q5 went through seven years of research & development before being released to the public

CAMBRIDGE, Massachusetts—WeOxy has announced the launch of the next-generation portable oxygen concentrator, the WeOxy Q5. The company said the device is the result of seven years of research and development and has been validated through the international market for four years before entering the home medical equipment and durable medical equipment channel.

Before entering the United States market, the company said the WeOxy Q5 has been in the hands of patients using it daily since 2022. The research showed a sub-2% failure rate across all units sold, according to WeOxy. Every patient interaction generated feedback incorporated into the device.

WeOxy operates on a replacement-first policy where if something goes wrong the company will ship a new unit the same day. WeOxy also noted the Q5 has been tested at 24,757 ft altitude in Muztagh Ata, a mountain in Xinjiang, China, and at −30°C (−22°F), where most first-generation devices stop functioning.

Key features of the device are:

  • Five-year manufacturer warranty
  • Direct strap-mount design eliminates the carrying bag and reduces drop risk
  • Three-year sieve bed warranty for Q5. A $120 saving in maintenance
  • Two-times faster charging in the category via universal 100W USB-C

The Q5 is now commercially available.
