EAST AMHERST, New York—The National Coalition for Assistive & Rehab Technology (NCART) announced Wayne Grau, the organization's executive director, has shared his intention to retire and will conclude his service with the organization at the end of the year.
"Serving as executive director of NCART has been one of the greatest privileges of my career," Grau said. "I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together over the past several years on behalf of our members and the complex rehab technology (CRT) community. The progress we've made has been possible because of the dedication of our board, committees, members, industry partners and advocates who work tirelessly to improve access to CRT for the individuals who depend on it."
Grau said he has worked closely with the executive committee to develop a transition plan that positions NCART for continued success. The committee has already begun the process of identifying NCART's next executive director and said it will share additional updates with members as the search progresses.
"I am deeply grateful to have been a part of NCART and the broader CRT industry," Grau said. "I have complete confidence in the transition plan that has been developed and know the organization is well positioned for continued growth and success under its next executive director."
NCART said it looks forward to celebrating Grau's accomplishments throughout the remainder of the year while continuing its work of advancing access to CRT.
