PORT HURON, Michigan—Visiting Nurse Association & Blue Water Hospice announced that is rebranding to the name Blue Water Home Care & Hospice. has served the community under that moniker. The agency said it is changing names to better solidify its permanence and devotion to the Blue Water Area.
“As the health care landscape continues to change around us, we need to do the same," said Angela DeLaere, president and CEO of Blue Water Home Care and Hospice. "Often, we hear of agencies being absorbed or merging with other organizations. I am thankful to share it is not happening with our agency. We are not joining, combining or being acquired by another…we remain locally governed, staffed and an independent care provider.”
Despite the name change, the agency will continue providing home health, private duty homecare and hospice services to residents of St. Clair County, Michigan as well as parts of Sanilac, Lapeer and Macomb counties. DeLaere said that the transition will take time and asked for patience during the rebrand.
