GUMMERSBACH, Germany—Tecfor care announced it has further developed and optimized the Ecofit S care bed. The result: The bed’s total weight has been reduced by a total of eight kilograms/17.6 pounds. At the same time, each individual component now weighs less than 20 kilograms.
The company said this product upgrade addresses the areas where the Ecofit S is used in day-to-day practice, such as the reduced weight makes transport and assembly much easier. During the development process, tecfor care said its priority was to simplify handling without altering the product’s tried-and-tested features.
“During the development process, we focused on one aspect that creates real added value in day-to-day use: weight," said Robin Knabe, managing director of tecfor care GmbH. "The new Ecofit S is easier to transport and handle, as all individual components weigh less than 20 kilograms. And this has been achieved without compromising on quality or stability."
The updated Ecofit S will be presented live for the first time at REHACARE 2026 in Düsseldorf, Germany. Alongside the new Ecofit S, tecfor care said it will be presenting further new products and enhancements at REHACARE.
