TEMPE, Arizona—SYNERGY HomeCare announced its three newest locations: SYNERGY HomeCare in Temecula, California, SYNERGY HomeCare in Chatsworth, California and SYNERGY HomeCare in Williamsburg, Virginia. The companies will assist residents with non-medical homecare services, such as companion care, personal care and respite care.
The Temecula location is led by the sister duo of Cynthia Syriani and Samar Nasrawi, the Chatsworth location is led by Sam Shah and the Williamsburg location is led by Dr. Felix P. Gbee and his wife, Sabita Gbee.
Nasrawi earned her master’s degree in mental health counseling to work with at-risk youth, survivors of abuse and victims of human trafficking in clinical settings. Her sister, Syriani, is an entrepreneur, owning a local salon and also working in real estate.
“We believe in honoring the lives our local seniors have built by helping them remain safe, independent and happy in their homes,” said Syriani and Nasrawi. “As we watched our own parents grow older, we saw firsthand how vital it is for people to age with dignity in the homes they love. We want to be the support system that makes that possible for families in our community.”
Sam Shah is an executive with more than 20 years of experience in major leadership roles across the tech and e-commerce industries. After witnessing the care that his own parents provided for his grandparents, Shah decided to make that mission his full-time job.
“Although this is my first professional experience in the homecare industry, my entire career has been guided by my commitment to building lasting relationships through empathy, respect and inclusiveness,” said Shah. “Those who come to us for help will be treated like family. This venture is deeply personal to me, and I can promise that we’ll provide more than just care, but also comfort, connection and continuity.”
Felix Gbee is a Liberian immigrant who fled from civil war in his home country in 1997, then quickly enlisted in the U.S. Army following the 9/11 attacks. He served nearly 20 years in the military, including multiple tours in Iraq and received multiple honors. The Gbees’ new Williamsburg location marks their third SYNERGY HomeCare office in Virginia.
“As a young man, I knew there was no greater cause than to fight for the country that I loved, the country that welcomed me from the grips of war,” said Felix. “Today, my cause is fighting for the people who otherwise wouldn’t be able to care for themselves. My wife and I have enjoyed every moment of our homecare journey these past five years, and we know we’re ready to take on even more.”
