WINTER PARK, Fla. (October 11, 2017)—HomeCare Connect, which manages the quality and cost of home health care, durable medical equipment and home modifications in workers’ compensation, has appointed Bob Schmidt as national vice president, sales management. Schmidt directs the company’s national sales programs and leads its sales force.

“Bob has more than 25 years’ experience in managed care, much of it in workers’ compensation,” said HomeCare Connect founder and partner, Vonesa Wenzel. “He also has a strong track record in sales and sales management, making him a perfect fit for us.”

Most recently, Schmidt was an account executive for Exam Works Clinical Solutions. Previously, he worked for Concentra for 14 years, ultimately ending up in national sales for disability accounts. Schmidt, who started his career as a vocational counselor, holds a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Syracuse University.
