DAYTON, Ohio—PurposeCare, a multi-state home-based care organization, officially celebrated the opening of its new Springfield, Ohio, location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 9. The new office is an extension of the PurposeCare of Ohio—Circleville branch and expands access to homecare services across six counties in southwestern Ohio: Hamilton, Butler, Clark, Greene, Warren and Clermont.
The ceremony drew a strong turnout from the local business community, PurposeCare employees from offices across the state and Ohio State Representative Bernard Willis, who represents District 74.
According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, seven in 10 adults who reach age 65 will develop significant long-term care needs before the end of their lives.
"Expanding into Springfield allows us to better serve the great state of Ohio," said Rich Keller, CEO of PurposeCare. "This region has a large and growing population of older adults who deserve access to high-quality, consistent homecare."
The Springfield location includes a training and testing center where caregivers develop and demonstrate hands-on proficiency with Hoyer lifts, patient transfers and other essential care skills before entering client homes, part of PurposeCare of Ohio's training program. PurposeCare said this program reflects its commitment to safety, quality and caregiver development.
