The organization is accepting several durable medical equipment items including tub benches & wheelchairs

SAN ANTONIO, Texas—As flood recovery continues in Texas, Project MEND announced it is stepping up to support individuals and families affected by the disaster.

The San Antonio-based organization, a provider of refurbished medical equipment to those in need, is deploying durable medical equipment (DME) through the relocation centers in the impacted areas.

Project MEND said it already has a stockpile of medical supplies prepared for immediate use, but with growing needs from people who lost essential items or sustained injuries, the group is urgently seeking donations of DME items. Items include wheelchairs, walkers, rollators, shower chairs, tub benches and bedside toilets. In a show of support, Project MEND is waiving all fees for flood survivors needing medical equipment.

How to help:

Donate durable medical equipment, such as the items listed above, at Project MEND’s headquarters: 5015 Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas 78238
