WESTCHESTER COUNTY, New York—The inaugural NY (New York) 100 Awards have named Eric J. Dalton, vice president of Angels on Call Homecare, as the Healthcare Visionary of the Year 2025 for his leadership in dementia care, Parkinson's care and caregiver training.
"For decades, homecare has settled for mediocrity, content with being the afterthought of health care, and I refuse to accept that," said Dalton. "Dementia care and Parkinson's care demand more than tasks and routines—they demand innovation that is bold, disruptive and deeply human. This award is not just recognition; it is proof that the revolution in specialized homecare has already begun, and it is being built inside Angels on Call. The future of health care will not be dictated by corporations or hospitals. It will be written in the homes of families we serve, and Angels on Call is holding the pen."
Dalton pioneered the Memory Care Angels (MCA) program—a training and engagement model that directs how dementia care is delivered at home. Through simulation-based training and virtual reality modules, caregivers experience life through the lens of those living with dementia.
Beyond training, Dalton has developed specialized sensory and activity-based programming proven to reduce distress, spark engagement and restore purpose for individuals living with memory loss. MCA has been celebrated as one of the most advanced dementia care frameworks in the nation.
"I couldn't be prouder of my brother Eric and the entire Angels on Call team," said Rob Dalton, CEO and CFO of Angels on Call Homecare. "This award validates two decades of family-led innovation, perseverance and grit. We've proven that a homecare agency—not a hospital, not a franchise, not a corporation—can lead nationally and redefine specialized health care. This is only the beginning."
