ALEXANDRIA, Virginia—The National Home Infusion Association (NHIA) and WeInfuse announced the addition of WeInfuse to NHIA's Future of Infusion Advisory Council (FIAC). The FIAC is an advisory group comprised of manufacturing and service companies that are invested in the home and alternate site infusion industry. The group works with the association staff and board of directors to collaborate on critical issues, address challenges and seek opportunities to innovate in this growing segment of health care.
“We are honored to join NHIA’s Future of Infusion Advisory Council and contribute to the advancement of home and alternate site infusion care,” said WeInfuse CEO Bryan Johnson. “As we expand into the home infusion and specialty pharmacy sectors, we look forward to working with board and staff to address the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of infusion therapy.”
For WeInfuse, membership in the FIAC provides the opportunity for a partnership with the association and other organizations serving patients requiring infusion therapies, according to company officials. The alliance will bring technology perspectives to enhance infusion care delivery and explore initiatives that support infusion providers.
Company officials said WeInfuse’s end-to-end workflow solution helps take the confusion out of infusion for industry providers.
"We're excited to welcome WeInfuse, a leading organization in the alternate site infusion segment, to the FIAC," said Connie Sullivan, NHIA president and CEO. "Having WeInfuse at the table with other industry leaders will accelerate the development of technology that supports the infusion community, which ultimately helps more patients lead healthy, independent lives."
