Commonheart will leverage the Medline Home Direct model to help improve supply distributions & patient care

NORTHFIELD, Illinois—Medline announced that it signed a Prime Vendor agreement with Commonheart, a not-for-profit home health and hospice organization based out of Waukesha, Wisconsin.

As part of the agreement, Commonheart will leverage the Medline Home Direct model to streamline supply distribution and improve patient care. Medline Home Direct specializes in helping home health agencies, hospice agencies and home medical equipment (HME) providers create efficiencies while lowering operating costs.

The organization expressed enthusiasm for Medline’s comprehensive reporting capabilities related to patient direct shipments and the extensive resources available to meet its unique operational needs.

“At Commonheart, our mission is to deliver compassionate, high-quality care to every patient we serve,” said Justin Munzel, Commonheart’s president. “Partnering with Medline allows us to streamline our supply chain and enhance our clinical capabilities across our home health and hospice.”

In addition to Medline Home Direct, Commonheart will implement Medline’s Skin Health Solution for both home health and hospice. This includes customized best practice guidelines, product in-servicing and clinical education delivered by Medline’s team of specialists.

“We’re excited to partner with Commonheart and support their mission to deliver compassionate, high-quality care,” said Gabrielle DeLucia, Medline post-acute care sales representative. “Our Medline Home Direct model, combined with our in-depth reporting tools and skin health program, will help drive both clinical and financial outcomes for their teams and the patients they serve.”
