WASHIGNTON, D.C. (August 25, 2020)—Providers were expecting to receive quarterly reporting instructions from the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) on Aug. 17, for funds received under the Provider Relief Fund (PRF) program. However, HHS has announced a delay in this information as they are still refining data elements and formulating a template to be used for reporting. The reporting system is still expected to be available Oct. 1, 2020.

  • All recipients must report within 45 days of the end of calendar year 2020 on their expenditures through the period ending Dec. 31, 2020.
  • Recipients who have expended funds in full prior to Dec. 31, 2020 may submit a single final report at any time during the window that begins Oct. 1, 2020, but no later than Feb. 15, 2021.
  • Recipients with funds unexpended after Dec. 31, 2020, must submit a second and final report no later than July 31, 2021.

Detailed PRF reporting instructions and a data collection template with the necessary data elements will be available soon.

The General and Targeted Distribution Post-Payment Notice of Reporting Requirements document was updated to reflect the delay.
