WATERLOO, Iowa (October 23, 2017)—VGM officials announced they are now accepting proposals from prospective speakers for the 17th annual Heartland Conference.

With more than a dozen education tracks to fill, conference organizers are looking for presenters to offer their expertise on a variety of topics including business leadership and management, retail, sleep and respiratory, rehab, operations, sales and marketing, home accessibility and regulatory to name a few.

“Heartland’s robust education program is designed to ensure that attendees leave each session equipped with relevant and innovative strategies to evolve their businesses,” said Sarah Conger, VGM’s director of Events and Heartland Conference chairperson. “Each year we search for dynamic speakers to add to our pool of talented presenters willing to share their content and best business practices to our guests.”

Themed “Where Community Meets Opportunity,” the 2018 conference takes place June 19–21 in Waterloo, Iowa, corporate headquarters of VGM Group, Inc. Attendees include HME and homecare industry experts as well as health care professionals working in a wide variety of roles and with all levels of experience.

Presenters come from all over the country and, like many of the conference attendees, they often return for the unique opportunity to connect with peers and manufacturers and experience hospitality from VGM’s associates.

“They practice what they teach—superior service,” stated Mary Jane Mapes, president and founder of The Aligned Leader Institute and previous Heartland presenter. “When on the road speaking, we meet a lot of people, but you’ll meet none warmer and more accommodating than those from Heartland.”

VGM’s three-day conference not only provides presenters the opportunity to share their expertise but also to attend networking and social events. According to Conger, presenting at Heartland is an effective way to increase visibility.

“Speaking at Heartland Conference is more than sharing your expertise with attendees,” said Conger. “It’s an opportunity for one-on-one time with our members and vendors, other presenters, as well as VGM associates. It’s a great way to introduce or reintroduce yourself to the HME community.”

Speaker proposals for Heartland Conference are due November 22. Those interested should visit vgmheartland.com/speak to complete the online form, or contact Heartland Education Chair Jill Blaser via email at jill.blaser@vgm.com or call (855) 755-6922.
