CARLSBAD, Calif. (July 21, 2020)—Eppic Medical, based in Carlsbad, California, announced its acquisition of Mobül: the mobility store, based in Long Beach, California, effective July 15, 2020. Mobül is the third acquisition of Eppic Medical, a home medical equipment retailer that currently serves customers with locations in Palm Desert and San Diego.

Eppic Medical is directly affiliated with Access Medical, a leader in complex rehabilitation mobility equipment, with offices in Carlsbad, Anaheim, Palm Desert, Burlingame, Honolulu, and Saipan. Blaine Hunt, President and CEO, founded Access Medical in 2006 to create an organization that would become a vital asset to the disabled community in Northern and Southern California.

As part of the merger, Mobül can now further their long history of service to its customers and add more depth to the relationship with Access Medical by being able to provide custom complex rehabilitation products to customers requiring more than just standard medical equipment.

“I was introduced to Wayne Slavitt, founder and CEO of Mobül, and was extremely impressed with him and the team Wayne has built. The quality of the products, the outstanding service provided by the staff and the beauty of the store are exactly what attracted us to Mobül,” commented Hunt. “We want to utilize the Mobül platform and expand our operations further.”

Hunt will continue to seek out high quality companies like Mobül to expand the ability to offer convenient solutions to those who need it the most.

“Blaine has the energy, intelligence, and drive to expand the reach of Mobül and make that a reality,” stated Slavitt. “Mobül’s future is very bright!”
