DALLAS (June 30, 2016)—Epic Health Services, Inc., a portfolio company of Webster Capital and Dallas-based provider of pediatric skilled nursing, therapy, developmental, enteral and respiratory services, announced today CEO Chris Roussos was honored as the EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2016 for the Southwest in the health category.
Now in its 30th year, this prestigious award program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate a commitment to excellence and extraordinary success in areas such as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. An independent judging panel—made up of previous award recipients, leading CEOs and other regional business leaders— selected Roussos, and winners were announced at a special gala event on June 25, 2016, at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas.
“I’m fortunate to even be considered among such an impressive group of entrepreneurs,” Roussos said. “This is an award for the whole company, because without our strong management team and 17,000 dedicated employees that enable us to deliver exceptional patient care, I wouldn’t be receiving it.”
Since becoming CEO of Epic in 2014, Roussos has brought unprecedented growth to the company, successfully positioning Epic as the sole nationwide provider of a complete post-acute continuum of care for pediatric patients through organic growth and an aggressive acquisition strategy. In less than two years, the company has completed 10 acquisitions and now operates in 17 states. Under Roussos’ leadership, Epic has experienced transformative innovation in all areas, from revenue cycle management and IT solutions to clinical education programs and culture.
