LIVINGSTON, Tennessee—Encore Healthcare, a provider of respiratory care solutions, announced its Nexus platform has earned certified status by Health Information Trust Alliance (HITRUST) for information security.
HITRUST r2 Certification demonstrates that an organization (or system or business unit scope) has met regulatory compliance and industry-defined requirements and is appropriately managing risk. By including federal and state regulations, standards and frameworks and incorporating a risk-based approach, the HITRUST Assurance Program helps organizations address security and data protection challenges through a framework of prescriptive and scalable security controls.
“As the stakes around data security and privacy continue to rise, our customers need partners they can truly trust,” said Keisha Harper, chief operating officer at Encore Healthcare. “By earning HITRUST r2 Certification, we’ve validated that our systems and processes meet some of the most demanding standards in health care—so our clients can move forward with confidence.”
“Without consistency, transparency and reliability, an information security assessment can’t provide the requisite level of assurances needed to make important business decisions," said Vincent Bennekers, vice president of quality at HITRUST. "That’s why we focus on producing the highest quality reports available. Achievement of a HITRUST r2 Certification is an assurance that Encore Healthcare takes compliance and information risk management seriously.”
