SPRING HOUSE, Penn. (October 12, 2018)—Patrick Henry Medical, LLC, a medical equipment company specializing in clinical respiratory services located in Sherman, Texas, that does business as Breath of Life, has achieved Exemplary Provider accredited status for Patient-Centered Respiratory Home (PCRH), The Compliance Team’s (TCT) latest accreditation designation specifically designed to help respiratory care professionals perform at the top of their license.

According to Sandra Canally, RN, founder and CEO of The Compliance Team, Inc. a Medicare-approved national health care accreditation organization, her firm launched its proprietary Patient-Centered Respiratory Home program in June. Breath of Life, which is also accredited by The Compliance Team for Medicare Part-B DMEPOS, is the firm’s first PCRH accreditation track recipient.

“Leading up to the launch of our Respiratory Home program there was a growing realization of the need for better communication and coordination regarding respiratory care management.  This new program sets in place quality standards that guide clinical respiratory providers to better engage with their chronic care patients,” Canally explained.

Cannally added that better outcomes are driven through additional care planning and focused follow-up visits with program goals being three-fold: 1) address poor respiratory care management; 2) decrease emergency department visits; 3) lower hospital readmissions.

Henry B. Loe, Jr., Breath of Life’s owner, released the following statement upon learning of The Compliance Team’s formal accreditation decision, “Thank you so much. The best part of this [process] is working with TCT. You guys are amazing and that’s what makes programs like this possible.”

According to Canally, TCT’s Patient-Centered Respiratory Home designation highlights the role of respiratory HME as the go-to provider for respiratory care management. The program is intended to enhance patient management practices through concise measures that cover care planning, provider coordination and communication between respiratory specialists and prescribers.
