BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (September 29, 2022)—Compassus, a national provider of home-based care services including home health, infusion therapy, palliative and hospice care, has announced the promotion of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Laura Templeton. An industry veteran with more than 20 years of clinical experience, Templeton has held leadership roles with increasing responsibility over her decade with the company.

“Laura has proven herself throughout her career as an innovative, driven and compassionate leader,” Compassus Chief Executive Officer David Grams said about Templeton in her promotional announcement. “She brings a true enterprise perspective and a unique ability to inspire our team members to excel.”

Templeton joined Compassus in 2012. After coming to the organization in a clinical director role, she quickly rose through the leadership ranks to hold positions as an executive director, regional vice president of operations and divisional president before being named to the C-suite in 2021 as senior vice president and chief clinical operations officer. Before joining Compassus, Templeton was a director at St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri, where she oversaw the ICU, telemetry and cardiac short stay units.

"I'm excited about the future of Compassus and the opportunity we have to enhance our patients’ experience through people, partnerships and innovation,” said Templeton. “I'm honored to continue to play a role in how Compassus delivers quality care to our patients and communities."

Since its founding in 2006, Compassus has grown into a leading provider of home health, infusion therapy, palliative and hospice care services. It was recently recognized by the Nashville Business Journal as one of the fastest growing private companies in Middle Tennessee and last year was named one of the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies in America.
